Experienced Researcer to be responsible for developing commercial broadband semiconductor SOAs with fiber-to-fiber gain greater than 25dB over 790-910 and 1000-1100 nm and rapid swept sources for OCT. Challenging individual work in collaboration with Tyndall-UCC and USTAN.
Good knowledge of physics of laser diodes and laser diode amplifiers including process of spontenious and stimulated emission in quantrum-confined hetero structures, and experience in building of characterization and test systems and modeling of laser diodes and amlifiers including gain property is required.
